LifeScape is seeking an organized, creative, and committed therapy aide to join the extensive therapy team at our inpatient location in Sioux Falls, SD.

As a valued member of LifeScape's therapy team, the therapy aide will assist with daily tasks to keep our clinic running smoothly by preparing session materials, maintaining the environment through cleaning, and organizing, and assisting therapists in direct patient care.

This position is responsible for providing support to therapists, including assisting with clerical and direct support tasks, cleaning toys and equipment and maintaining the therapy environment. In addition, some of the other roles and responsibilities include :

• Assists therapy and other clinical staff with preparatory tasks, and assistance through (but not limited to) simple food preparation for feeding therapy, creating picture cards and other materials to be used in therapy sessions, assisting with serial castings and cast removal, and providing additional support during transfers / gait training / facilitation techniques
• Monitors condition and maintenance of equipment, toys, and facility
• Troubleshoots broken equipment coordinates repairs, including orthotics, adaptive equipment and DME belonging to people supported
• Prepares and cleans treatment spaces, equipment, and toys according to infection control policies, to allow for timely transition between patients
• Completes laundry, dishes, and other cleaning tasks
• Completes inventory of cleaning / therapy supplies, dry storage, and food
• Anticipates needed supplies, reports inventory for ordering, and completes shopping

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma / GED required. Valid driver's license and good driving record required. Prior experience working with children or adults with disabilities or challenging behaviors preferred.
