Job description

Swoon partners with a global leader in conveyor solutions seeking an Electrical Product Development Engineer for their state-of-the-art facility in Walker, MI . This role offers the opportunity to design and develop smart, connected solutions that enhance conveyor systems, working alongside a top-tier engineering team.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop electronic products for conveyor applications, including sensors, controllers, and communication modules.
Implement and optimize IoT technologies for real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and system control.
Develop prototypes and conduct testing to ensure performance, reliability, and industry compliance.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers for seamless integration.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (Masters is a plus).

3+ years of experience in electronic product development, ideally with IoT applications.

Proficiency in electronic circuit design, PCB layout, embedded systems, and wireless communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee).

Experience with design tools like Altium Designer, MATLAB , and programming in C / C++, Python (a plus).

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
