Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor policy developments in Washington, D.C. to assess their impact on our global operations; and distill complex information into concise and actionable memos / papers for senior management.
  • Attend relevant policy seminars, conferences, and government briefings, focusing on EV and ESS industries.
  • Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with global government affairs initiatives, particularly in trade and investment-related matters.
  • Exercise independent judgment to proactively identify and address emerging policy issues related to battery technology, trade and investment that may affect the company's regulatory landscape.
  • Assist with developing crisis management strategies for potential challenges arising from policy developments.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus. Majoring in Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Law, or STEM preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience working on legislative or policy matters at the federal or state level, with a specific focus on automobile, renewable energy or trade.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to distill complex information into concise memos / papers.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, particularly in the context of global trade and policy developments.
  • Two references upon requests.
