Job Description
QUANTITY TAKEOFF SPECIALIST
Location : Between LA and Santa Barbara, CA
An established general contracting firm is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Takeoff Specialist to support project estimating and preconstruction efforts. This position supports a variety of project types under the firm’s portfolio.
Responsibilities :
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and project documentation for upcoming bids
- Develop accurate quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment based on plans and specs
- Prepare quantity summaries for material, labor, and equipment for bids
- Assist with bid preparation : pricing, vendor / subcontractor outreach, bid-package assembly
- Maintain organized documentation and version control throughout bid process
- Support estimators and project management to ensure bid quantities align with project scope
- Support project teams with clarifications, revisions, and value-engineering when needed
