Railroad Track Maintenance Technician Kingsport, TN PSC Group is seeking a Railroad Track Maintenance Technician to join our team This is your opportunity to join a team to work together to maintain track infrastructure, including constructing, inspecting, and repairing tracks. If youre looking for a stable, long-term full-time career in a booming industry, then consider joining the PSC family Work Schedule : Monday - Friday (7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm) Pay Range : Starting at $18.00 Job Duties & Responsibilities : Repairs and rebuilds railroad tracks, using power and non-power hand tools Pull spikes from ties, drills holes through rails for insertion and fastening of bolts, and replaces ballast Operates large non-powered hand tools such as shovels, picks, axes, cutters, and sledgehammers Operates proper electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic hand tools such as drills, impact wrenches, jacks, power saws, and grinders Lifts and carries track material Assists with re-railing of derailed railcars Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job Job Qualifications : Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available May require a valid Drivers License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S. Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
