Location : Houston, Texas – Near University of Houston

Pay : $18.50 per hour | Weekly Pay

Employment Type : Temp-to-Hire | Long-Term Potential

Position Overview

As a Seamstress, you will ensure professional garments meet exact fit, quality, and durability standards. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and overall production performance.

This role is ideal for someone comfortable working in a fast-paced sewing environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform alterations and repairs on uniforms and professional garments, including hemming, resizing, tapering, and sleeve adjustments.
  • Operate industrial and standard sewing machines safely and efficiently.
  • Take precise measurements and assist with fittings as needed.
  • Inspect completed garments to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain sewing equipment and a clean, organized workstation.
  • Follow garment specifications and production instructions.
  • Meet daily production and quality goals.

Schedule :

  • Monday–Friday : 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM (one weekday off).
  • Saturday : 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM.
  • Sunday off.
  • Qualifications :

  • Experience as a seamstress, tailor, or garment alterations specialist.
  • Strong skills in hemming, resizing, and garment construction.
  • Experience taking accurate measurements.
  • Ability to operate industrial and standard sewing machines.
  • Familiarity with garment tracking or inventory systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and professional work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Background working with uniforms or professional apparel.
  • Embroidery experience.
  • Heat stamping or vinyl heat stamping experience.
