The Landscaping Crew Leader will perform and oversee a variety of landscape activities for Medxcel throughout the assigned working location of St. Vincent's Anderson Regional Hospital- Anderson, IN The landscaping activities will include : planting, weeding, digging, spreading topsoil and other materials, general lawn maintenance, and seasonal lawn preparation. The Landscaping Technician II may also operate lawn mowers and related equipment and will assist Facilities Maintenance staff on projects as assigned. Landscaping Technician II performs a variety of landscape activities, such as irrigation system maintenance and service, planting, weeding, digging, spreading topsoil and other materials, general lawn maintenance, and seasonal lawn preparation. The Landscaping Technician II leads training for new associates and serves as a Subject Matter expert to facilities stakeholders.

Responsibilities

General Landscaping :

• Oversees team members and performs planting and related activities.
• Performs routine lawn maintenance including grass cutting, lawn edging, weed pulling, and other routine lawn-maintenance activities.
• Uses lawn mower and related equipment.
• Provides seasonal lawn care, such as spring and fall clean-up.
• Moves materials and equipment and performs related duties to assist in landscaping and hardscaping.
• Digs holes and trenches and excavates for landscaping and hardscaping using picks and shovels or related equipment.
• Hauls or spreads topsoil, gravel, sand, mulch, or related materials using wheelbarrows and rakes.
• Hand-finishes grade, and apply seed, straw, or sod.
• Maintains assigned equipment and notifies Landscaping Supervisor of needed repairs.
• Responds politely to customer inquiries and projects a professional image.
• Loads equipment and materials on and off trucks and trailers.
• Performs snow removal activities as assigned, such as shoveling, salting, etc.
• Assist Facilities Maintenance staff on preventive maintenance, work orders, painting and other maintenance projects as assigned.
