About this opportunity :
Performs specialized clerical and bookkeeping tasks in the recording and maintenance of precise fiscal records and financial data.
Applies detailed bookkeeping knowledge and skills to varied bookkeeping tasks such as recording revenue and expense transactions, checking entries, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing basic financial reports into computerized financial systems in an accurate, complete, and timely manner
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include :
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles and practices and of applications to accounting transactions.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting.
- Ability to perform account reconciliations in order to ensure that accounts balance
- Ability to research account discrepancies and / or inquiries and provide accurate and complete information.
What we are looking for in you :
- Two year college or technical school degree in accounting, bookkeeping, business or related field AND
- two years’ experience in the performance of increasingly complex bookkeeping work utilizing a computerized accounting system with detailed exposure to double-entry fund accounting OR
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
