We are seeking a skilled Attorney with experience in medical malpractice defense (or related litigation) to join our team.
Position Overview :
This is a primarily remote position with flexibility built in—court appearances and some in-person client meetings will be required. The successful candidate will manage cases from start to finish, including client counseling, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. You’ll work closely with partners and clients while enjoying autonomy and a balanced, team-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Handle all phases of litigation in medical malpractice defense, including case evaluation, strategy, and trial preparation
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; conduct depositions and defend clients at hearings
Advise and communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
Appear in-person for court hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings as required
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure high-quality representation
Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards at all times
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Washington
3+ years of litigation experience (medical malpractice defense preferred, but other litigation experience considered)
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and client-relations skills
Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively with a team
Comfort with remote work technology and virtual collaboration tools
