Job Duties Duties & Responsibilities 1) Coaches and instructs cheerleaders, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
2) Assesses skills and selects team for the upcoming year with the assistance of outgoing coach.3) Observes cheerleaders, during events and practice to determine the needs for the individual or team improvement.
4) Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.5) Supervises the team during practices and games6) Evaluates, recruits and retains students to the cheerleading team7) Meet with supervisor biweekly8) Establishes and maintains standards of behavior and provides proper supervision.
9) Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure student success10) Follows established procedures for supplies and uniforms11) Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities12) Work closely with Spirit Coordinator to ensure all contract rules are being applied within the program among all athletes in the program
