Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
- Assist in tax planning and consulting projects, offering insights to optimize client finances.
- Conduct research on tax regulations and legislation to provide guidance to clients and team members.
- Support with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Foster client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
- Mentor junior staff members, offering guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex tax issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for client interactions and team collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
