Accounting Assistant

Job Title : Accounting Assistant Location : Southeast Houston, TX Type : Contract Compensation : $22 / hr - $25 / hr Contractor Work Model : Onsite Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm Our commercial and industrial construction client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis to help reconcile their accounting and support ongoing financial processes. Focus includes : Reconcile months and code transactions, preparing files for CPA year-end tax filing Assist with vendor payables reconciliation and data entry into Foundation system Support project closeouts and credit card tracking / reconciliation Follow up on Accounts Receivable and maintain accurate filing Data entry and assisting with purchase orders Assist with payroll reports and ensure all new applicants’ information is complete for payroll entry Targeting candidates with : Experience in the construction industry Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably Foundation Strong organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
