Principal RF Engineer

Our Space and Defense division in Milpitas is seeking a highly technical, motivated, and experienced Engineer for RF component development and design and RF circuit design support, specifically with expertise in component, circuit and system design for Receivers and Transmitters in High Reliability Aerospace and Defense applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY : Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development.

Job Responsibilities :

• In this hands-on leadership role, the Principal RF Engineer will be responsible for planning, product development, analysis, simulation, characterization, verification, documentation, support, and release to production of RF component devices and front-end modules for wireless Defense and Space applications.
• The Principal RF Engineer will also be a key contributor in defining and prioritizing our product roadmap and resulting engineering by interfacing with customers as well as business development, sales channels, and marketing.
• Activities will include assessing product lines for technical capability to utilize in high-reliability markets, defining specifications, bench testing and characterization, packaging review, validation and verification, product optimization, and product release with support for production and manufacturing.
• Must have the ability to schedule, manage and execute a project to meet deadlines and communicate program and technical goals to management and customers.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD  $126,500 -  $241,700 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
