Recent charge experience required

Telemetry, IV start, cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen experience required

Charge nurses are expected to take a limited patient assignment if staffing requires

Description :

The position is for a Charge Registered Nurse in a progressive care unit.

Charge RNs will receive a pay increase for the charge role.

The shift will consist of four 12-hour night shifts, Thursday through Sunday or Friday through Sunday.

Charge Nurses in this unit are budgeted at a maximum patient ratio of 4 : 1.

When taking full charge, the ratio is reduced to 2 : 1.

The unit primarily involves cardiac and medical care, focusing on heart caths, BiPap support, and administering cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Qualified RNs must be proficient in managing drips and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Candidates should have experience with conscious sedation and managing diverse patient needs in a step-down setting.

Interdisciplinary support is available to enhance patient care.

Travelers are required to float within the facility to meet patient care needs.

Holidays are mandatory; candidates must work two of three major holidays.

All certifications must be current and available upon application.
