Direct Hire Production Artist

We’re looking to hire a Direct Hire Production Artist for a Retail Point of Purchase Agency, onsite in Chicago, IL.

• Annual Comp : $60-$80k
• The right perso n must have experience in Temporary POP Design industry (or adjacent industry), understand the manufacturing and production environment for the retail display space.

Responsibilities :

• Manipulate and prepare files for print production and any needed photo retouching or content editing
• Wok with colleagues on projects from concept through print, including file transfers, FTP access, online proofs, revisions, prototypes, and updating status of projects
• Place client art to fit engineering drawings, modifying it if needed, and on occasion, creating art if none is supplied.
• Transfer, FTP access, online proofs, revisions, prototypes, and updating status of projects and conduct quality assurance to ensure the accuracy of the project.

Requirements :

• Must have at least 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications in a Mac OS environment InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
• Comprehensive knowledge of pre-flighting client supplied files
• Experience and knowledge of : Litho printing, Silk-screening, Digital printing, Mounting, Die-cutting, Assembly, Kitting preferred.
• Familiar with large format printers to create protypes, models, and mock-ups Able to troubleshoot technical issues with files and / or escalate to ensure on time delivery
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
