• PRN\nKey Responsibilities\n
• Responds to health emergencies throughout the facility\n
• Collaborates with the family nurse practitioner regarding patient status and treatment needed\n
• Monitors medication compliance and reports to Health Services Administrator and FNP\n
• Follows all Laramie County Policies and Procedures with regard to security and patient contacts\n
• Delivers care in accordance with established Med Trust Policies and Procedures\n
• Makes referrals to appropriate community resources in preparation for release from custody\n
• Communicates concerns regarding patient safety and behavior to appropriate medical and security personnel\n
• Communicates the need for special housing to appropriate medical and security personnel\n
• Conducts daily rounds on patients and determines appropriate housing recommendations\n
• Thoroughly documents all patient encounters in electronic or paper medical record in accordance with Med Trust Policies and Procedures\n
• Attends special needs and Medical Administrative Committee meetings with detention administration and mandatory monthly staff meetings with medical staff\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n
• Must have an active, unrestricted RN license\n
• Must have 1 year experience as an RN\n
