We require :
One year of experience operating trucks and equipmentHigh school diploma or GEDMust possess a valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a tanker endorsementState and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a commercial driver's license (CDL). Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety, but may not specifically require a valid CDLWe also value :
Two or more years of transportation construction or roadway maintenance experienceJob contributions :
Operate a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and proceduresHaul materials and transport vehicles and equipment to job sites using various trucksPerform manual labor assignments as neededInspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identify and report mechanical problems requiring additional repairComplete required daily logs and prepare reports; attend safety meetingsComplete daily written reports and enter information into the Cartegraph asset management systemPerform traffic control activities as needed; report safety hazards and traffic problemsPerforms other duties as assignedWorking conditions :
