Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based PACU, servicing a Level II Trauma Center Assignments include both Phase I and Phase II PACU, with rotation to outpatient discharge as needed Variable day shift start times ranging from 9 : 00 am to 12 : 30 pm with 10-hour shifts Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 On-call required : 4-6 night calls within a 6-week period and every other weekend, including day and night coverage Required to float to any of four hospitals within the health system with a designated home base Uses SCM documentation system with required Epic experience Every other weekend or up to six weekend shifts per 6-week period required Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers Duties include providing care for patients in both Phase I and Phase II PACU and supporting outpatient discharges as needed Must be able to float to all system hospitals to support staffing needs Scrubs must be solid, matching colors with no logos or prints Mandatory online learning modules are completed at orientation and annually Free parking provided with a decal issued during orientation Timekeeping completed using badge swipe in Kronos system Holiday, float, and hurricane response is per hospital policy for travelers Block scheduling may be considered and requires manager approval RTO (Requested Time Off) must be finalized at time of offer; changes not accepted after offer Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 1 year recent PACU RN experience in a Level II Trauma Center Proficiency in titrating drips and strong neurological and cardiovascular PACU skills Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS Epic charting experience required Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call coverage Two recent professional references from managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors required Flu vaccination required between 10 / 31-3 / 31 unless exempted for medical or religious reasons Previous internal employees or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622269.
