Kennedy Painting of St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a full-time Painter Apprentice to assist our experienced painters while learning this skilled trade.

This skilled trade position pays $16.00-$18.00 an hour with full benefits with the likely increase in pay after the first 30 days of employment.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAINTER APPRENTICE

As a Painter Apprentice, you ask questions, observe, and emulate the values we adhere to here at Kennedy Painting. You go out in the field with experienced painters and carpenters to set up and clean up tools and products for the job site.

While being their helper, they mentor and train you on everything from how to properly complete carpentry and painting jobs and to professionally interact with our clients.

You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. You enjoy interacting with clients and fellow employees.

You enjoy expanding your knowledge and skills. You are excited to be part of our team and can't wait to advance in this stable and essential industry as a painting apprentice!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A valid driver's license
  • Car insurance
  • Have a smartphone
  • Able to use and lift ladders up to 32 ft.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed in various locations. Exposure to harsh conditions is possible for short periods-such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures.

All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential function of this job successfully.

While performing this position's duties, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel;

reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. is required.

I hereby voluntarily consent to provide a urine specimen (or blood specimen as required for alcohol) at a collection facility designated by this Company and further consent to have the specimen examined at a laboratory selected by this Company.

An employment physical and fit test will be required, also at a facility designated by this Company.
