A prominent Mississippi general contractor is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil / Highway Superintendent to lead field operations. The ideal candidate has a strong track record running crews on work such as highway paving, earthwork, excavation, underground utilities, and related scopes.

What You'll Do

• Champion a zero-incident culture; oversee all site safety, equipment, and compliance.
• Plan and manage day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout.
• Interpret and execute plans, specs, and contracts; ensure work meets QA / QC standards.
• Build and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules; sequence work to prevent delays.
• Determine manpower, equipment, and material needs; coordinate deliveries and logistics.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate field personnel; support hiring and training efforts.
• Maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, diaries, quantities, purchase orders, schedules, as-builts).
• Collaborate effectively with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the public.
• Identify long-lead items and risks early; drive timely solutions to keep projects on schedule and budget.
