Role Overview

As a Best Roofing Service Manager, you will be the driving force behind our service operations, ensuring every roofing project not only meets but exceeds client expectations. You’ll be the key player connecting our field teams, logistics, and clients, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and proactive problem-solving within our service team.

Core Focus

Your core focus as a Service Manager at Best Roofing will be to ensure that all roofing services meet high-quality standards and comply with industry best practices, while maintaining a safe work environment. You will work to optimize resource allocation, manage project budgets, and meet deadlines as well as foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring they are informed and satisfied throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues or defects in roofing repairs and installations.
  • Oversee all assigned personnel, ensuring they understand product specifications and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse to secure necessary equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Manage warranty work, conduct site visits with crews, and ensure that lessons are learned to avoid repeat issues or call backs.
  • Review job costs, monitor project status, and communicate any budget discrepancies to the Sales Team.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Act as the primary client liaison, addressing concerns and providing solutions throughout the project.
  • Partner and coordinate with Contractors, Suppliers and Client to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing through FCS, including uploading project photos and verbiage from all phases of the repairs.
  • Coordinating with the Scope Scheduler to set anticipated start dates for all projects.
  • Work with the Scope Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely billing, with jobs coded within 48 hours of completion.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols across all roofing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal roofing and safety regulations.

  • Achieve or exceed client expectations in service delivery and communication.
  • Consistently deliver projects on time, within budget, to the agreed-upon quality standards, and all terms of the contract are adhered to.
  • Maintain a record of zero safety incidents and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
  • Demonstrate effective resource management, resulting in minimized downtime and optimal use of materials and labor.
  • Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead teams, with a focus on mentorship and development.
  • Extensive knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety regulations, including :
  • Single Ply Systems : Proficiency in installing TPO, GAF, John Manville, Carlisle, PVC, FiberTite, Firestone, and Sarnafil systems.
  • Modified Membranes : Expertise in installing Modified (Torch) membrane systems.
  • Coatings : Experience with Silicone and Elastomeric coatings.
  • Metal Work : Skilled in installing metal components such as Box Gutters, Downspouts, Leader Heads, Coping Caps, and Curb Caps.
  • Slope Roofs : Proficient in the installation of sloped roofing systems, including Tiles, Shingles, and Metal Roofs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building client relationships and managing expectations.
  • Skilled in managing budgets, schedules, and resources in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices and integrity in all professional dealings.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
  • Bilingual Preferred (English / Spanish)
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, identify problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment and safely climb roofs to conduct inspections and oversee work.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving to various job sites and meetings.
