Executive Chef Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall success of the food program and overseeing all culinary functions
- Oversee all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
- Adhere to the client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and the company’s standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation
- Motivate, train, develop, and direct the back-of-house associates preparing and cooking foods to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, clients, and management
- Adhere to the demands of the Culinary Program, open to a flexible schedule and willing to take ownership / responsibility of the operation and collaborate effectively with senior leadership
Executive Chef Qualifications
- 3-5 years of culinary management experience
- Ability to manage cost controls
- High-volume production and catering experience required
- Diverse experience with different cuisines
- A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
- Creative menu planning, pricing and experience sourcing local ingredients
- Solid tenure in previous employment-preferably no more than 2 jobs in 5 years
