Location : Hartford, CT - In office position

Compensation : $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Reports to : Chief Financial Officer

Position Requirements :

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and performing various accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and CPAs accounting, audit, and reporting requirements and policies. Activities include developing, implementing, and maintaining the accounting system and the fiscal policies and procedures. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with the CFO to meet the agency's strategic needs.

Qualifications and Competencies :

Bachelors degree in accounting

At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, payroll, reconciliations, and internal management reporting.

Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT and non-profit accounting experience are strongly preferred.

Minimum three years of supervisory experience.

Self-motivated individual with effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize the work appropriately.
