Project Manager Capital Projects Construction
Ever feel like you're running a complicated orchestra, but instead of violins, you're coordinating dump trucks and concrete mixers? We need a master conductor for our public works capital projects.
This is the Project Manager Capital Projects Construction role, where you will become the backbone for maintaining our city's public rights-of-way.
You will prepare, manage, and coordinate multiple, complex construction contracts focused entirely on street infrastructure rehabilitation and preservation. If pavement condition data is your secret superpower, you'll analyze surface distress and structural surveys to recommend appropriate strategies and prepare program contracts. You'll handle the financial blueprint, reviewing and approving progress payments for capital construction projects and monitoring the project budget. This means preparing construction contract documents including plans, drawings, specifications, and estimates.
We are looking for someone who sees a road in need and thinks, "Challenge accepted." You need strong foundational knowledge of materials associated with asphalt and Portland cement concrete infrastructure. You will be coordinating the work of others, maintaining computerized records, and working effectively with contractors and citizens daily. This role involves considerable outdoor work to observe construction projects in all weather conditions, so a strong commitment to safety is crucial. Come help us keep the city rolling smoothly.
