Job description

Carelon Sales Executive

Responsible for driving new business growth by developing and executing sales strategies that expand Carelon's footprint and customer base. This position focuses exclusively on acquiring new clients and generating opportunities for the health services that Carelon offers as high-value solutions for its customers.

Location : Hybrid 2. This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

How will you make an impact :

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define strategy, success metrics, and future direction.
  • Builds and maintains executive-level relationships with prospective clients to introduce Carelon's solutions and drive new business opportunities.
  • Leverages multiple assets across Carelon business units to deliver comprehensive, differentiated solutions to new customers.
  • Maintains high visibility within industry groups and develops expertise in emerging and impactful market trends.
  • Translates strategic priorities into actionable plans, programs, and timelines that support enterprise goals.
  • Represents the voice of prospective customers to influence product development and solution design.
  • Directs sales activities related to Carelon offerings including Utilization Management, Payment Integrity, and Home Health Services.
  • Develops and executes sales plans to achieve new business and financial targets.
  • Gathers and communicates market intelligence and customer insights discovered throughout the sales cycle.
  • Builds and leverages C-suite relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Continuously assesses market needs to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborates with Product and Solution teams to align offerings with customer and market demand.
  • Manages a robust new business sales pipeline and executes effective outreach and communication plans.
  • Expected to travel frequently to meet with prospective clients, attend industry events, and support the expansion of Carelon Services across new markets.

Minimum requirements :

  • Requires a BS / BA degree in related field with a minimum of 10 years related experience to include senior sales experience and a minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences :

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in the home health and / or post-acute care market strongly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of health insurance and health services sales strongly preferred.
  • Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
  • Candidates from all states are welcome, but they must reside within commuting distance of a Pulse Point office location where we have an office to be considered Travels to worksite, client locations, and other sites as necessary.
