Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : February 11, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100-$2250

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs required

EMR : Epic (Epic EMR experience preferred)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (New York State or compact license accepted)

Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience

Experience caring for immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in an ICU setting

Trauma level one hospital experience required

Proficient in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arterial lines, spinal drains, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and titration of vasoactive / inotropic drips

Epic EMR experience required

Competency assessment required within 24 hours of application

Current email address required for communication and testing

Must wear navy blue scrubs during shifts

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to high-acuity CVICU patients, including those recovering from complex cardiac and vascular surgeries

Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic parameters and life-support equipment

Interpret ECGs and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies

Administer and titrate vasoactive and inotropic medications as ordered

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care and interventions using Epic EMR

Maintain strict compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
