• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.\n
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.\n
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.\n
• Previous OR-Circulating Experience required
• \n\nDay to Day duties : \n
• Circulate on all cases. Gen, Ortho (Totals / Trauma) Neuro, OB / GYN, ENT, Urology, Robotics cases (DaVinci XI and MAKO), Eyes, urology, ENT, Breast Surgeries.\n
• Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams.\n
• Giving breaks and / or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.\n
• Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.\n
• Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery.\n
• Position will be home based in surgery but will also cross train to cover Pre-Op / Phase II recovery as needs present.\n\n6 OR Suites\n\nApprox. 200-250++ cases per month\n\nSchedule- 36hrs / week- Days- 0645-1915\n\nCall required- Approximately 120 hours of call are required per 6 weeks\n\n30min call back radius required\n\nQualifications\n\nIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following : \n\nEducation Requirements\n
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement\n
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred\n
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs\n\nExperience Requirements\n
• One year experience preferred\n
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty\n\nLicenses / Certification Requirements\n
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact\n\nPhysical Requirements\n

We have six ORs performing surgery for general, ortho, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, plastics, neuro, thoracic and utilizing robotics. We primarily care for adult populations and do not have overflow from other departments. Our mission is to provide excellent care for patients who require surgical care in a respectful and compassionate manner. The atmosphere is warm and open to others and we encourage all team members to have an active part in making decisions in the department.
