Position description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position. The department welcomes applicants from all areas of mechanical engineering and robotics who demonstrate strong potential for impactful research and interdisciplinary collaboration. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a loosely related field by the time of appointment. Successful candidates will have a strong research record and experience relevant to their area of specialization. Preferred qualifications include experience in medical robotics, mechanism design, and mechatronics.

This position will be supervised by Dr. Jun Sheng with research responsibilities on the design and development of flexible medical robots. The initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance for up to three years.

The Postdoc salary ranges from $66,737 to $80,034 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with University of California guidelines (see : https : / / graduate.ucr.edu / postdoctoral-studies .) .
