Job Mission
As a Production Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring Piab delivers products globally within lead time policies. You will lead the development, standardization, and maintenance of our production concepts to create scalable, reliable, and cost?efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop production tools, methods, and work instructions for new products as part of cross?functional development teams, with a strong focus on built?in quality and poka?yoke principles.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.Maintain and upgrade existing production tools and systems to support ongoing manufacturing needs.Implement and promote Lean principles to drive continuous improvement within the supply unit.Stay current with advancements in production engineering tools, technologies, and best practices.Collaborate with the global virtual production engineering team to enhance production capabilities across all Piab sites.Skills and Abilities
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering, preferably in a Lean manufacturing environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.Experience with 3D CAD software (Solid Edge preferred; SolidWorks is a plus).Experience working in a global organization is advantageous.Documented training in Lean tools and methodologies is a plus.Key Competencies

You will report directly to the Operations Manager, Vacuum Automation. The position is based in Canton, MA.
