Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead - BI Engineer to lead the development and delivery of business intelligence (BI) solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in BI tools and platforms, coupled with leadership skills to guide a team of BI engineers. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement scalable, efficient, and insightful BI solutions.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, data marts, and semantic layers to support BI initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI solutions through rigorous testing and optimization.
  • Mentor and guide a team of BI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and recommend BI tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the organization's analytics capabilities.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for BI development, data governance, and security.
  • Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines and analytics workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
  • Strong experience with SQL and data modeling for relational and multidimensional databases.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with ETL / ELT processes and data integration tools.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with cloud-based BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS QuickSight, Google Looker).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
  • Certification in BI tools or data analytics platforms.
  • Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning integration in BI solutions
