We are looking for a Sr. Delivery Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Team. You will help us reduce the deltas between software releases and increase their frequency while maintaining exceptional security and quality standards.

Youre the champion for a Shift Left culture, who leads by example and coaches other engineers in the same. We strive to maintain predictable and boring releases of exciting user value as we grow.

This role acts as a force multiplier across engineering through practices, processes, and people.

The Role

The Sr. Delivery Engineer is responsible for how code is safely and reliably delivered to production at Blumira. We enable a high-performing organization by providing our engineering teams with the capability to ship changes frequently and confidently.

On this team, youll collaborate across functions and across teams to deliver the best possible developer experience for all engineers here at Blumira.

This role may also take point in coordinating unplanned work from incident to resolution. Help us continue to improve by understanding the contributing factors to our success as a team, and ensure we can reduce barriers to success.

What you will be doing in our team

• Develop and apply continuous delivery practices and systems, solving for reliability, safety, deployment frequency, and developer experience
• Work closely with other teams to embed Shift Left and continuous delivery in our engineering practices
• Own and advocate for the health and quality of the systems that the team builds, including participating in on-call rotations and responding to incidents as necessary

What you will add to the team

• High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
• Driven to deliver and sustain successful releases and mature organizational processes and culture.
• Great communication skills and a willingness to pair program, mob on tough bugs, brainstorm in public, and otherwise enthusiastically engage with your teammates in group problem solving
• Experience with developing software in languages such as Go, Python, and Bash.
• Experience with running, operating, and maintaining production systems
• Experience building infrastructure automation
• Experience working with the Linux operating system
• Experience with software design
• Experience applying standard application security methodologies like OWASP and vulnerability scans
