Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of ConnectWise platforms, from gathering requirements, designing technical and functional specifications, managing the product backlog, and coordinating development efforts through to implementation and subsequent support. This role works in partnership with cross functional teams to coordinate and enhance development efforts, aid partners in product navigation, and find effective solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides support to the Product Management team, with a high attention to detail.
- Researches, analyzes, and documents findings.
- May coach, review, and / or delegate work to other team members.
- Defines and drives the business plan, strategy, and positioning of the products to align to corporate growth strategy.
- Collaborates to discover solutions to identified problems, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out the value of your solution in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
- Proactively identifies market opportunities and performs analysis to understand the competitive landscape, trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Interacts with customers and prospects to define market requirements and communicates the needs to the development team.
- Monitors product performance to evaluate adoption rates, user experience, and production issues.
- Prioritizes the product backlog in conjunction with overall business and partner needs.
- Represents ConnectWise in all partner engagements, events, conferences, and other venues.
Knowledge, Skills, and / or Abilities Required :
Ability to manage large projects and processes independently with limited supervisionProduct Management experience with a CPQ SAS productRecognized subject matter expert of applicable work areaAbility to situationally adapt and understand new technology / processes as per business and partner requirementsStrong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical partnersAbility to work in rapid pace environment with multiple projects, while maintaining high quality workDemonstrated commitment to partner and team-oriented managementFamiliarity with software development, database, server / client, and similar technical conceptsDemonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product managementMust be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities simultaneouslyKnowledge of MSP industryPreferred : Knowledge of Agile Methodology, software development life cycle, and Atlassian Product SuiteEducational / Vocational / Previous Experience Recommendations :
Bachelor's degree in related field or related business experience5+ years relevant experiencePreferred : Experience in ConnectWise PSA application, Salesforce, NetSuite.Working Conditions :
