Job Overview

Manager, Strategic Finance – R&D at . Location : San Francisco or Sunnyvale, hybrid (remote and office days). Responsible for driving standardized reporting, scalable processes, and consolidated financial insights across Engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate opportunities to improve how Engineering resources are planned and measured; lead strategy development with business stakeholders.
• Maintain cross‑functional relationships, understand priorities, integrate feedback to shape scalable, forward‑looking planning frameworks.
• Partner with Engineering and Finance leadership to translate financial and operational insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Synthesize complex data into concise narratives and dashboards to drive alignment and decision‑making.
• Own development and execution of core planning, reporting, and consolidation processes ensuring accuracy, scalability and standardization.
• Proactively identify process gaps and efficiency opportunities, driving cross‑functional solutions to improve visibility and reduce effort.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models and performance metrics to track spend, headcount, and efficiency levers.
• Lead ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling to evaluate trade‑offs, forecast outcomes and support long‑range planning.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and peers; foster analytical rigor, professional growth and collaboration.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture that values transparency, feedback and continuous improvement.

Compensation
