Diality is a medical device company focused on developing solutions to improve lives impacted by kidney disease. Diality offers the Moda-flx Hemodialysis System, a user-friendly, mobile, and connected hemodialysis system designed to maximize clinical flexibility and ease-of-use for both clinical and non-clinical users. The Moda-flx Hemodialysis system combines flow rate capabilities of conventional in-center dialysis devices with a fully integrated reverse osmosis (RO) water filtration system to provide a broad range of prescriptions and meet the needs of any professional dialysis care setting.
The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and compliance activities. Partnering with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP), this role will ensure robust hardware, software, and enterprise management solutions. The IT Director will play a key role in de-risking the company’s IT environment, driving conversion to cloud services, and ensuring secure, compliant operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison with the MSP for IT operations, ensuring high performance across networking, cloud services, cybersecurity, and end-user support.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives, including planning, execution, and change management.
- Oversee server implementation and management, ensuring scalability, performance, and business continuity.
- Manage enterprise applications, including NetSuite ERP and Propel PLM.
- Drive software validation efforts in compliance with FDA, GMP, QSR, and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and controls to reduce risk exposure and ensure compliance with data integrity and security frameworks.
- Manage vendor contracts, IT budgets, licensing, and renewal cycles.
- Provide oversight of IT projects, including system integrations, upgrades, and validation activities.
- Support business development and finance functions with reliable, compliant IT systems.
- Monitor IT performance and risk, reporting regularly to the VP of Finance.
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of FDA, GMP, QSR, and ISO 13485 requirements related to IT systems and software validation.Working knowledge of server architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management.Familiarity with IT compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA preferred).Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skillsDemonstrated success in de-risking IT operations and leading cloud conversions.Proven ability to manage MSP relationships, IT vendors, and budgets.Education & Experience
10-15 years of IT leadership experience, preferably in regulated industries (medical device, biotech, pharma).Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).Hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP (required); Propel PLM (preferred).Experience in server implementation and management.Experience with cloud migration strategies and risk management in IT environments.Strong track record with software validation and IT compliance documentation.Travel
