Café Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications :
3+ years of leadership experience in a scratch kitchen or upscale, high-volume restaurant environmentStrong proficiency in bread and pastry production, including dough fermentation, lamination, and dessert executionProven track record in training, coaching, and team developmentAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on creativity and consistencySolid understanding of food cost control, labor management, and safety complianceServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)Café Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills :
Experience in designing seasonal menus and daily specialsKnowledge of local and sustainable product sourcingStrong communication skills for effective team leadershipPassion for artisan craftsmanship and culinary innovationAbility to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency across menu items and specials
