The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees designated plant departments, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost control, process improvement, and employee development. This role manages daily production schedules, ensures smooth workflow, and maintains safe working conditions through training, audits, and incident investigations. The supervisor fosters strong relationships with hourly employees by building engaged teams, providing coaching and training, and reducing turnover. Responsibilities include meeting quality goals, recommending process and equipment improvements, partnering with maintenance to reduce downtime, coordinating with materials and logistics for steady production flow, and managing staffing, attendance, and employee relations, including hiring, discipline, and issue resolution.
