General Surgery opening - Waterloo, IA J1 / H1b Eligible Seeking candidates with interest / experience in Breast or Thyroid, along with B&B General Surgery. Position Details - Full-time, permanent- 204-bed, community hospital- Inpatient / outpatient- Excellent specialty support including well-established interventional radiology, Urologist, Ob / Gyn, pulmonary critical care, cardiothoracic, cardiology, GI, hospitalist, and neurosurgery- Strong Primary Care referral base- 31 bed ED and Level III designated area trauma Center- Block OR scheduling with add on time and open scheduling available - 8 General OR and 1 CVOR & UMP-ASC 4 OR and 2 procedure rooms- State-of-the-art diagnostic and robotics (Da Vinci XI)- 12 Bed ICU with Intensivist- Award winning heart hospital, primary stroke center, and accredited chest pain center- Leading edge wound Clinic & hyperbaric center- Excellent work / life balance with flexible scheduling- Family Medicine Residency Program and Des Moines Medical students-teaching opportunities available- Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination- The busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley.
