Aerodyn Engineering is hiring a CNC Manufacturing Programmer to join our cutting-edge team in Indianapolis, IN . Key Responsibilities
- Program CNC mills, lathes, and grinders using Mastercam (NX experience is a plus)
- Develop custom machining strategies for tight-tolerance aerospace and defense components
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and project managers on job planning and execution
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to create precise toolpaths
- Select tooling, define workholding, and support setup documentation
- Drive continuous improvement in machining processes, cycle times, and tooling life
- Contribute to quoting and estimating processes for new projects
- Occasionally assist on the shop floor to troubleshoot or validate new programs
✅ Qualifications
3–5 years of CNC programming experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or R&D environmentsStrong command of G-code / M-code , toolpaths, and fixture designExpert user of Mastercam ; NX proficiency is a plusAbility to program complex geometries and work with tight tolerances (0.0001")Experience machining exotic materials (Titanium, Inconel, Stainless, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailWillingness to work closely with machinists and other departments to ensure successFamiliarity with estimating, quoting, and lean manufacturing principles is a bonusWhy Join Aerodyn?
