Overview
SRS / Heritage is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with at least 5 years of design experience providing fire protection engineering services for the Building Products, Landscape and Pool verticals.
Responsibilities
- Will provide fire protection engineering support for all 3 business verticals
- Must be able to independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments
- Will work on multiple projects of moderate scope with complex features at the same time
- Ensures internal communication and coordination of project efforts occurs
- Coordinate all support activities required to complete all project efforts and quality assurance processes
- Work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the projects, meet timelines and budget commitments
- Prepare fee proposals for fire protection project work in conjunction with fire engineering consultants
Required Skills / Abilities
- 5 years of experience designing fire protection systems and NFPA 400
- Experience performing fire hazard analysis
- Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices
- Experience with building and fire safety code analysis, fire dynamic analysis, and fire risk analysis is required
- Experience interfacing with vendors
- Proficiency with MS Office
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university with a focus in Fire protection and / or Life Safety engineering degree with experience in fire protection
