Transportation Senior Project Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer to work out of our San Jose Office!

BKF has an immediate opening for a senior-level civil engineer with strong technical abilities and focus on traffic-related design experience supporting traffic and transportation for roadways, highways, intersections, rails, bike / pedestrian / complete streets, and transit. The ideal candidate will be familiar with public works and Caltrans projects.

As a senior-level civil engineer, you will independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making adaptations and modifications You will assist the Project Managers in preparing current status information for internal reporting and keeping clients informed on progress. You will supervise or coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.

Responsibilities :

• Transportation / Traffic Design for roadway, highway, intersection projects, and multi-modal (ATP) projects for Public Works and Caltrans projects.
• Traffic signal, lighting / electrical, signing, striping, and stage construction / traffic handling
• Accident and safety analysis
• Transportation Management Plans(TMP)
• Bid and construction support, including RFIs and Shop drawings
