Local Student Support Coordinator

Are you passionate about supporting students and creating meaningful connections within the community? Cambridge Network is looking for a dedicated Local Support Coordinator in Alameda, CA, to act as a vital bridge between international students and their host families.

You will ensure the well-being of international students by providing guidance, support, and regular check-ins. You will work closely with host families, offering assistance and fostering strong relationships. You will organize and coordinate local events, helping to create a welcoming and engaging community. You will also contribute to strengthening Cambridge Networks local presence and reputation through proactive communication and hands-on involvement.

  • Compensation range : $300$1,000 per month, depending on student enrollment and caseload. This role is compensated based on the number of students assigned. Final pay will vary depending on caseload size and service delivery model

To thrive as a Local Support Coordinator, you should have :

  • Previous experience in student support, social work, education, or related field.
  • Solid communication, cultural sensitivity, and empathy.
  • Solid time-management and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and willingness to conduct home visits.
  • Solid computer skills, timely report writing, and ability to pass a background check.
  • Your responsibilities as the Local Support Coordinator will include :

  • Check in on students : Conduct in-home visits for new and returning students and submit clear, timely reports.
  • Support host families : Assist with onboarding, home verifications, and ongoing guidance.
  • Plan engaging events : Organize and run at least two in-person student events per year.
  • Be a local ambassador : Help recruit host families and represent Cambridge Network in the community.
  • Provide urgent support : Respond quickly to student or host family needs and emergencies.
