If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.The Brocade SAN Engineer functions as a member of the Brocade Global Support organization and is assigned to support our most important customers. The candidate will work hand in hand with the Brocade Support and Engineering teams, and will need to have customer-facing skills along with a demonstrated background in Storage Area Networking (SAN), as they will be required to join conference calls or attend live troubleshooting sessions. Brocade SAN Engineers are expected to be available nights and weekends to assist customers with their projects.
Responsibilities
Proactively engaging with customers to support their SAN infrastructure, understand current and future requirements, and successfully mitigate risks that arise from projects and eventsSchedule and provide regular Customer Operational Reviews to assigned Premier AccountsDirectly manage any critical or high-visibility situations, project managing account recovery activities while delivering the appropriate ongoing status and post-mortem documentationWork closely with the customer to understand and document their SAN Fabric design and "end-to-end" interoperability matrix and future growth projectionsResponding promptly to customer needs and actively engaging on all customer events as the lead on all customer communicationWorking closely with the customer to ensure accuracy of their inventory and assist internal teams to secure support contract renewals, and with the Sales Teams for ongoing account growthAnalyze, provide recommendations, and drive actions based on the reporting from a Customer Operating EnvironmentDevelop and maintain Brocade customer operational procedures documentationKnowledge of basic networking protocols and Ethernet TroubleshootingMaintain current industry trends, competition, and technical and product knowledge with respect to its value for Brocade customersOther duties as assigned :
Schedule : Monday through Friday, occasional weekend or overnight hours, and on-call as required
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree and 8+ years of related experience requiredIn-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, and specifically storage area networking (SAN)SAN domain experience required. Brocade associate and professional certifications are desirableCustomer-focused with a record of accomplishment of developing successful relationships with external and internal customersMS Office / Google Suite expertiseRecord of accomplishment of successfully managing complex IT projects. Ability to rapidly adapt and adopt to new technologiesExcellent customer communication (Verbal and Written), problem-solving, planning, and organization skillsWorks cooperatively with others as a teammate to achieve results, build morale, and has the ability to work cross-functionally in a rapidly changing organizationAdditional Language (Spoken business level) a plusSuccessful implementations of current-generation SAN products, especially Brocade productsExperience implementing and customizing monitoring tools and features in SAN productsExperience with OpenSSL and certificate implementationExperience with Linux and / or Windows server implementationsPhysical requirements

The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000- $172,800
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
