The mission of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Service Advisor is to be responsible for service sales and gross profit, and for proper handling
of service customers. By his / her actions, the Service Advisor influences the volume of service business and plays a key role in insuring customer satisfaction.
The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Service Advisor must provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through
consistently outstanding preparation, attitude, and teamwork. Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Service Advisor must determine needed
maintenance and diagnose cause of malfunction or refer to test
technician as necessary.
- Provide clear estimate for labor and parts.
- If cost of service cannot be established during reception, determine diagnosis charges and contact customer for approval of final repair.
- Follow up progress of each repair during the day, contact customer for estimate and time changes.
- Record changes on repair order in approved fashion.
- Handle telephone calls regarding work in process, appointments, technical and service related inquiries.
- Compare final invoice with original repair order, analyze quality control report.
- Deliver vehicle to customer.
- Pre-delivery via telephone upon completion of repairs.
- Handle all customer contacts in a professional manner.
- Show enthusiasm and commitment to customer care to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Inspect each vehicle during write up to verify stated complaint and look for any needed additional work.
- Make sure all sublets are handled through the Parts Department using the golden rod copy to the repair order.
- Write up and follow new, used and encore lease cars.
- Prepare proper estimate in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Able to commute into and out of Manhattan / New York City on a daily basis.
Qualifikationen
- Ability to use Dealer Information Systems.
- Must have 2 years of Service Advisor experience.
- High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Work Holidays when required.
- Familiarity of ISO1 Standards.
- Able to withstand the physical demands of the position.
- Must be articulate, enthusiastic, and a self-motivated team player and maintain a positive attitude.
