Prime Materials Recovery is looking to hire a dedicated and driven Forklift Operator in our new facility in South Windsor, CT.
PMR is one of the largest non-ferrous metal merchants, polymer, and processors in the United States. Headquartered in East Hartford, CT, PMR operates state of the art processing facilities in Canastota, NY, South Windsor, CT, and Orangeburg, SC.
Position Summary : As a Forklift Operator, you are responsible for loading and unloading trucks, material handling and much more.
An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to :
Knowledge and Skill Requirements :
- Operate Fork-lift and perform daily maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Responsible for accurate inventory counts as scheduled / requested.
- Self-starter who identifies priorities and makes appropriate resource trade-offs.
- Perform shipping and receiving clerical tasks as required.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished goods according to SOP’s.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practice.
- Perform duties safely and report all observed safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Be punctual and at work daily, as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor, manager of by operational conditions.
Requirements :
Knowledge and Skill Requirements : · Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with coworkers.· Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practice.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience driving a Forklift
