About The Position

Location : Salem, Virginia, USA Specialty : Maternal - Newborn Type : Travel Schedule : 4x12s Nights Time : 6 Weeks

Seven Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse - Mother & Baby for a 13-week travel assignment in Salem, VA. This position offers a competitive weekly total of $4,000 for four 12-hour night shifts. It's ideal for RNs who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient settings and are committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse :

Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to mothers and babies during the postpartum period

Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of mother and baby, including vital signs, breastfeeding, wound healing, and general well-being

Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation

Educate mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, infant care, and newborn safety

Provide emotional support and reassurance to new mothers

Assist with newborn screenings and tests

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for comprehensive care

Communicate effectively with families, physicians, and other providers

Monitor and respond to changes in mother or baby's condition and report concerns promptly

Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records

Qualifications of the Travel Nurse :

Active RN license (Virginia or Compact state)

Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Mother & Baby experience
