Treasury Analyst, Currency Risks
Join the Boston Scientific Treasury team as a key leader in managing the company's global currency exposure. This role is critical in safeguarding earnings and cash flow, developing strategic hedging programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage financial risk across the company.
Key responsibilities will include :
- Oversee the day-to-day execution and administration of Boston Scientific's Balance Sheet Currency Hedging program.
- Execute foreign currency spot, forward, and swap contracts to mitigate currency risk.
- Reconcile foreign currency transactions, positions, and hedge gains / losses on the balance sheet.
- Monitor global foreign currency exposures and recommend hedging strategies to protect earnings.
- Ensure all hedging activities are in compliance with the Boston Scientific's treasury policy and internal controls.
- Partner with different business units to gather and analyze foreign currency exposure data and forecast future hedging requirements.
- Provide business units with guidance on strategies to reduce currency risk and achieve liquidity objectives.
- Participate in quarterly financial risk management performance reviews with senior management.
Required qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in corporate finance, accounting or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of relevant treasury and finance experience, including currency management experience.Minimum 3 days per week on-site in the Marlborough office.Preferred qualifications :
Familiarity with currency risk management strategies and derivative accounting requirements.Understanding of treasury systems, policies, and procedures in a global business environment.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Demonstrated proficiency with relevant financial and analytical software, such as SAP and Hyperion.Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
