Position Overview
- Perform perpetual inventory auditing (daily cycle count) to identify root causes of inventory errors.
- Identify and report out on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) during Gemba walks.
- Provide inventory control reports as required.
- Research and correct inventory inaccuracies using OBMS and other research methods.
- Manage negative inventory report and correct discrepancies.
- Train employees on cycle count process and provide follow up training if needed.
- Document standard work and area SOPs and revise and communicate as needed.
- Required to prepare and maintain records of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued
Physical Requirements
- Protective Personnel Equipment (PPE) requirements could include gloves, hard hats and other equipment as required
- Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment
- Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned)
- Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching
- Moderate lifting ability up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (may be above 100 ambient degrees or below 10 ambient degrees in areas of production)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- 2+ years of experience in inventory role
- High school diploma or GED required
- Able to use a computer and other office technology
- Familiar with data entry systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
Shift : Monday thru Thursday (10hr)
Schedule : 6 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
Overtime frequently required based on business needs. Boston Whaler reserves the right to adjust shifts and times as business needs arise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places;
fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
