A company is looking for a Coder II.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately assign codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses and procedures based on patient medical records
Utilize classification systems including ICD-10 and CPT, adhering to official coding guidelines
Follow Health Information Management Department policies and procedures in all coding activities
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate's degree in health information technology or related field, or 5 years of coding experience
Coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) is required
Minimum of 2-3 years of coding experience with an Associate's degree
Familiarity with coding software
Relevant coding credentials such as RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, or CPC-A are required
