Your Role : Under the guidance of the Director and Manager of Imaging Services, you will provide essential technical support for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Your expertise will ensure top-notch patient care across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. This role also emphasizes adherence to quality standards and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Will Include :
Performing radiological and interventional procedures promptly while documenting and communicating vital information.Collaborating with radiology technologists, physicians, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.Assessing patient conditions necessary to conduct exams effectively.Educating patients on procedures and expected cooperation.Providing safe, comforting direct patient care and ensuring a well-maintained clinical environment.Ensuring all required clinical equipment and supplies are available and safely utilized.Maintaining knowledge of patient growth and development stages across the lifespan.Troubleshooting minor equipment issues and assisting during procedures, ensuring optimal support for physicians.Communicating effectively with Radiologists to coordinate interventional schedules for timely patient care.Qualifications :
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.Entry-level candidates are welcomed, but 1-2 years of acute care experience is preferred.Current certification with the Texas Medical Board and ARRT registration.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.The Heart Hospital of Austin is highly regarded for cardiovascular care and offers a dynamic work environment supported by a collaborative team.
