Job Duties :

• Assist cooks in their culinary tasks.
• Procure necessary ingredients and equipment for food preparation.
• Adhere strictly to standard recipes during food preparation.
• Operate food production and serving equipment following manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Practice safe and sanitary food handling techniques consistently.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Dispose of trash, break down boxes, and maintain cleanliness in kitchen-related areas.
• Wash and polish stainless steel surfaces in the kitchen.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Assist in food preparation, storage, and cleaning of coolers, freezers, and storerooms.
• Manage inventories of cleaning supplies and paper products.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Handle china and glassware carefully to prevent breakage.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen floors.
• Assist in weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Store cleaning equipment properly after use.
• Assist with other duties as instructed by Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Background / Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of general kitchen work-related experience preferred.
• Basic knife skills.
• Knowledge of health department regulations.
• Basic English language communication skills with the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Pleasant personality and professional appearance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
